Description

The Gildan 18500 Heavy Blend is a pullover hoodie with a classic adult fit, double-lined hood and front pouch pocket. Its 8 oz./yd² fabric uses a cotton/polyester blend, with specific heather shades using a different fiber ratio. Choose this style when you want a pullover construction; compare the Gildan 18600 if your project calls for a full-length front zipper.

Features

  • 8 oz./yd² (US), 13.5 oz./L yd (CA); base fabric: 50/50 cotton/polyester, 20 singles.
  • Heather Dark Green, Heather Dark Maroon, Heather Dark Navy, Heather Deep Royal and Heather Scarlet Red: 60/40 polyester/cotton.
  • Classic fit with a double-lined hood and color-matched drawcord.
  • Front pouch pocket; 1 × 1 rib with spandex; tear-away label.
  • The Heavy Blend face yarn is designed for a smoother printing surface and reduced pilling.

Buying questions

How should I choose a size?
Compare the size chart’s laid-flat chest width and body length with a hoodie you already own. Chest width is a garment measurement, not your body’s chest circumference; allow for any layers you intend to wear underneath.

Are all colors the same blend?
No. Check the heather exceptions above before selecting a print process or replacing an approved garment color. Ask your decorator to test the actual shade and placement, including clearance from the pocket and hood.

Choosing the Gildan 18500 pullover hoodie

The 18500 suits a brief that calls for a classic pullover with a double-lined hood and pouch pocket. Its 8 oz./yd² fleece is a different garment category from a jersey tee, so compare sweatshirt measurements when planning your fit.

Fit, fabric and artwork

  • Lay a favorite hoodie flat and compare chest width and body length with the size chart. Consider what will be worn underneath, and check the selected color’s available sizes before collecting a group order.
  • The standard blend is 50% cotton / 50% polyester, with different blends in some heather colors. Check those exceptions in the product details before setting a print process or transfer temperature.
  • Keep the pouch pocket, neckline and hood in mind when sizing artwork. A large front design needs clearance above the pocket; a back design should be positioned with the hood resting naturally.
